Mar 25: WoW: 2.4, Sometimes I wonder about Blizz...

Ahh finally! The 2.4 Patch is here.  Now I'll be honest, I have mixed feeling about this patch.  But my main concern is all of the class balance changes that they made in this patch.  Probably to get ready for thier big arena tourny. Where to start...

Druids got a bunch of a changes.  There was a pretty decent lifebloom nerf, a big cyclone nerf, a couple of bug fixes, a couple of buffs.  The only thing that really concerns me with these changes is the cyclone nerf.  I understand why they would nerf it for resto/feral druids but can you PLEASE for the love of god look at how it is going to affect the Balance Druid?  Balance Druids are already on the very bottom of the totem pole as far as how many people you have playing them.  They are still underpowered and you nerf them further.  What I don't understand is why they neglected to put any Balance buffs in this patch.  It's borderline rediculous how long that tree has gone without some revisions.  Nerf those resto's all you want but at least GIVE US SOMETHING!

Hunters really got.. well not much.  Some bug fixes and a decent buff to mend pet, which being BM right now I like this change.  A change in how the combat log works has resulted in a huge nerf to traps.  In short, everyone is going to know when you lay down a trap and what kind of trap it is even if they aren't looking at your animation.  This is just stupid.  Not to mention that it looks like they have reverted our multishot change back and left warriors with a cleave that doesn't break CC.  BAH!

I'm happy to see that Mages got some love!  I have always been rooting for Mages to get some buffs, and its finally happened through that last couple of patches.  GG!

Paladins look to have gotten a few bug fixes with a bit of a Holy Shock change.  I can't really comment on this because I haven't played a Paladin past probably level 25.

Shamans and Priests got some changes and some minor buffs from the looks of it, but again.  I don't know enough about playing them at high levels to be able to comment.

I tell you though, the single most exciting thing about this patch is the removal of diminishing honor returns.  WoW!  Finally we can get down to killing and be rewarded for it.  Also the fact that Honor is now calculated instantly is just awesome.  No more waiting a week to get more gear!

The new Zone and instances are really cool too.  Being as I am leveling a Blood Elf hunter, all of this new BE inspired zones really make the game come to life for me.  I can't wait to get that sucker to 70 and start the immersion.

As I wait for the servers to go live again, I am trying to decide what I'm going to be doing in 2.4.  Should I go back to my Druid and check out the new zones? Should I take the time to keep leveling my hunter now that the 70's have something to occupy thier time with?  I guess we'll see in a few hours.
